UnitConnect was born in 2007 after a commercial property manager partnered with a residential real estate investor and software engineer. The pair began working on a product that would provide a “Back to the basics” real estate management solution. The interface and capabilities would be geared towards the everyday user. The team felt that at the time there weren’t many options for this type of application. Those that did exist were lacking in depth. Today, Unit Connect helps add depth by giving users a better way to manage properties.
Unit Connect stands out in its specialization. Although there are other similar tools, most are lacking in capabilities. They cannot manage complex situations, such as numerous tenants or buildings very easily. Unit Connect is designed to give the user the customization they need to get the most benefit (and profit) from their real estate business.
Unit Connect presents users with a rich blue and green color scheme that adds personality without reducing the professionalism of the site or its tools. Monitoring transactions is simple from the neatly organized user dashboard. Color bar graphs enhance the experience by providing a visual representation of fund-related information. These tools look appealing and are simple to use so that the average real estate investor or property owner can get the most benefit.
New users can begin registration by clicking the white and gold “Sign up for a free trial” button at the top right hand corner of the homepage (accented by a blue arrow icon). This directs the user to the registration form, which requires a first and last name, email address, password, company name, number of units the user is renting out, and terms and conditions acceptance. The user must also enter the Captcha code to verify that they are human before clicking the gold and white “Sign up” button at the bottom of the form.
New users can sign up for Unit Connect and receive a free 30 day trial. After the trial is up, the user can select from six diverse membership options. The first is a free membership (called the “Simple” plan). This includes management of up to five tenants, unlimited users, unlimited data storage, email reminders, data protection and data migration features. The Basic membership runs just under $35 per month and upgrades to include up to 15 tenants. The Standard membership costs around $60 and includes up to 30 tenants and SMS reminders. The Most Popular plan runs just under $100 per month and includes up to 60 tenants and phone call reminders. The Advanced plan costs about $140 and includes up to 100 tenants while the Pro costs just under $200 per month and allows up to 200 tenants.
Property owners, real estate managers and any other related individuals can really appreciate what Unit Connect can do. The six diverse membership options make it easy to fit the application into any budget.
